Highdown School Boiler House Refirbishment

This project involved replacing a number of boilers and associated pumps and valves.

Survey of Existing Installation

During our site survey it was soon clear that all three plant rooms were 30 years + old. This meant we had asbestos in various areas within the plant room and pipe work. A close working relationship would be required with the customer, architect and specialist sub-contractors to deliver the project on time.

Solution

Servio were appointed Principal Contractor to ensure the project was delivered on time. This included all the Health and Safety requirements and the management of 4 directly employed Servio engineers and specialist sub-contractors for:

  • Asbestos removal and making safe
  • Building works
  • Painting and decorating
  • Fire alarm integration
  • Lagging of pipe work
  • Building Management systems
  • Roofing works
